Asura Transformation

Lord Muruga Transformed Surapadma (demon of Viramahendra Puri and older brother of Taraka)   as his Vahana or vehicle the peacock and also became the mount of Kartikeya.

Lord Muruga defeated the middle brother Simhamukha (whom he graced to become His lion vahana) and also became the mount of Durga

Tarakasur is the son of Vajranaka

 Mahisha or Mahishaka was a kingdom in ancient India, ruled by the Asura king Mahisha. His capital, Mahisha City, is currently known as Mysore a city in Karnataka.  The Sanskrit word Mahisha (सहिष) means great, powerful. Durga killed with her vehicle, Manashthala the lion. (Fixed mind). Mahisha story. Durga transforms him to Knowledge (blood), symbolized by the red color. Mix of lime-stone, water and turmeric (3 devis).

Gajasura (Sanskrit: गजासुर, lit. "elephant demon")  an asura (demon), who assumes the form of an elephant. Ganesha:     defeated, turned into a rat and made vahana (vehicle) by Ganesha

 The demon Taraka had three off-springs named Taarakaaksha, Kamalaaksha and Vidyunmaali. Shiva transforemd them to Chaamaram (fans)
