Continuation of Q4:
Should I continue do Sharadham and Tharpanam after one year also: If we understand the Energy concept, then we understand that yes, we continue to do till our death. This means everyone whether male or female adult or children, should do Pitru Darpanam every new moon (Ammavasya).

However we should understand that the departed soul after an year may get rebirth soon or later. For one year they take the Energy given through Tharpanam from the relatives/families. After that they go into the general (all relations broken) pitru category. So after one year, one might be doing it in the name of the dead family member, but it goes to the general. if they have not taken rebirth, they get it, if not it goes to the general account (shared by all other pitru's , who need energy to reincarnate.

For doing this the Cosmic Energy gives blessings as "Energy" to the doer of Tharpanam, which can used for material life prosperity or save it for spiritual progress.

So one should continue doing Pitru Tharpanam, as long as they want "Energy" for material prosperity or spiritual progress.

What rituals to be done by the members of the diseased?.
We have to understand that the individual soul, will have Soul-Energy less to get another body to fulfill life's desire.

Therefore chanting AUM Namah Shivaya or Sree Rama Jayam like mantras are good while the cremation is done.

Reading Gita second chapter describing about the Soul's nature is good.

Dhaana or charity in the name of the diseased person will accrue in the soul's Energy account for the soul to get trans-migrated into a new body and for the journey to continue.

Strictly the 11 days or 13 days or 16 days rituals have to be done.
Every month on the thithi the energizing has to be continued for one year.
After that it is all emotional memory rituals for the members to pay respect and memory.
The greatest help to the diseased person is to do the energizing rituals for one year and charity done in that person's name.

Since I dont have any beach / river side nearby, i'm doing it at house & giving the offering through the drain.

Is there a better solution in my situation sir?

Dont do inside house as we do aaavahan of dead beings who are now in subtle Energy forms. ......do it outside house even in terrace or in balcony or a play ground ( i know you will look odd in eyes of public people).

A river or beach is better. we dont have that. so we do in back side of our house. Have a shower of yourself and wash clothes and all utensils you have used for the rituals to avoid these energy vibrations sticking on to you.
