Question : OOnam is in a way a.sad story of end of tamil / chera kingdom.  The sanscrit speaking tribes from mangalore area invaded chera kingdom and made a one side deal - probably the Vamana avataram.  The king who was loved by the people returns every year for a week.  The nambudhiri's are closer to the original aryans and they did not accept the converted bhramins of the south and did not allow them to do pooja.   Interested to know more...? read history ...

Very Correct. Almost all Ancient temples in India are the worship places of Aboriginals/Tribals. Later it was dominated by other sects of people with slow encroachment. Some places it was forcefully taken by others. Whether it is right or wrong, it has been modified , edited, or to bring value to life. In simple words, all these have evolved. This is similar to  human encroaching, dominate, forcefully took the habits of aboriginal species on Earth to the point making them extinct. We might boast ourself as an intellectual human body, but current research shows that all that also depends on the aboriginal microbiome genetic expression. We are only having 30-40 Trillion human cells but infact microbiome constitutes about 40-100 trillion microbial cells.    Now we understand that these aboriginal species are valuable. Now we try to bring back them or safe guard them, both in the environment and also in our body.Uni5 Sakthi Foundation is attempting to bring back the original knowledge of the rituals. The Sthala Vruksha or the  Tree of the temple is mostly connected with the  tree under which the Tribals invoked the energy. Very prominent are the temples like Puri Jaganath, where the tree is still worshipped and acknowledged as the Tribals worshipped spot. Madurai temple, the kadamba tree. In Kerala this is still acknowledge by starting the temple festival from that spot where tribals did the rituals.Onam or any festivals of India are truly the aboriginals or Tribals rituals for understanding and connecting to the cosmic Energy pattern. Later it was hijacked by the encroaching groups and modified it or evolved it further. If  Evolution is right or wrong , then from whose point of view is our own perception based on wisdom?
