What do we do of the rice ball after placing the leaf in the imaginary circle drawn where water is sprinkled after the pooja?

Where do all others attending the pooja need to sit? Is it next to the individual performing the ritual?
Does everybody sitting in the pooja need to wear an individual darba ring? Does everybody attending the pooja need to offer the rice ball(pinda) individually on the Darba?
Does everybody need to take bath after performing the pooja? Please clarify.

Do we need to place the Darba grass on the ground or on the leaf when we begin the pooja?

Do we need to place the Darba grass on the ground or on the leaf when we begin the pooja?

You are right. Keep banana leaf or any other leaf on which Darba grass can be kept. If nothing available, keep a new paper or paper plate.

Where do all others attending the pooja need to sit? Is it next to the individual performing the ritual?

All can sit in a horizontal row side by side. Lamp can be one. But each individual can have a Darbha grass plate.

Does everybody sitting in the pooja need to wear an individual darba ring? Does everybody attending the pooja need to offer the rice ball(pinda) individually on the Darba?

Children are exception if they dont want to do. They can watch it. But if children or adults want to participate they can wear a Darbha ring and keep a Darbha plate and offer Rice ball.

Does everybody need to take bath after performing the pooja? Please clarify.

If they do the pooja by offering rice ball and water then they need to take bath.

What do we do of the rice ball after placing the leaf in the imaginary circle drawn where water is sprinkled after the pooja?

They can be left for birds or animals to eat. If not they can be left for decomposition.

1) performing this pitru pooja our self is better or doing at temple ?

If we know how to do and convenient, we can do at home.
2) outside house may not be possible since we live in apartment , can this
be done inside house?
Usually the pitru pooja not done inside house, only out door. But can be done any where outdoors.

In India, July 18th wednesday and 19th in USA is a new moon day to do Pitru pooja.

Isnt Pitru Pooja a superstition?

If we understand that we are not just a body of atoms alone, then we realize that the "Life Energy" we experience like any energy cannot be created, nor destroyed, but only transform from one form to another.

The soul is our Life force and continue to take births, until the energy loses its "individuality". This is called as Moksha.

If the body is damaged vitally, then the "Life Energy" cannot manifest and we call it as a dead body. The Life energy and the bundle of desires makes a Individual-Soul. There is a strong competition of zillions of Life-Energy-desired filled Souls to get a body.

Pitru Bali is an effort to transfer some energy to the Souls to get sufficient Energy to get access to a body.

The individual Life Energy we experience now in a body, was previously in a Pitru stage. It is like Visa sponsoring for our parents to come to our dwelling place. What we do today, other's will do to us. It is the law of Dharma.

Pitru Pooja ritual externally brings the parenting bond of family lineage and the community responsibility. Pitru Dosha or curse happens when one does not look after parents while they are living. Additional damage is when the first year of Shraddha is also not done. Because the emotional parent tries to get the "Energy" from the genetics passed on offspring and not the local community.
